The Feast of Christ the King at St. John Bosco Church, Borivali, was a day filled with spiritual unity. It commenced with serene masses at 7:00 and 9:15 AM, at which parishioners offered prayers and sought favours from Christ Our King. A contemplative atmosphere continued throughout the Holy Hour Adoration, led by different groups from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, fostering an environment of collective reverence and connection with the divine. As each hour unfolded beautiful moments of reverence before the exposed Blessed Sacrament, allowed individuals to spend quiet moments in contemplation and prayer.
The afternoon witnessed an inspiring demonstration of faith by the Confirmation candidates, leading the congregation in the heartfelt recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 PM. The Holy Eucharist at 3:45 PM, animated by Fr. Solomon, Fr. Diego, and Fr. Mario resonated deeply, reinforcing the significance of the occasion and uplifting the spirits of the approximately seven hundred parishioners present.
The solemn procession at 4:45 PM, honouring Christ the King wound its way through the streets of Borivali. The Blessed Sacrament, gracefully adorned on an elaborately decorated jeep, became the focal point of the procession. The collective voices alive with hymns and prayers echoed through the neighbourhood, spreading a sense of reverence and unity.
As evening descended, the air was filled with blessings and gratitude. Fr. Mario Vaz conducted the Benediction service, bestowing Thanksgiving, Peace and Fulfilment upon the congregation.
The festive celebration of Christ the Universal King then came to a close with Fr. Solomon expressing gratitude to all who contributed in making this Day a true expression of Love and acknowledgement of Christ Our King.
